Manicure and pedicure aftercare advice 

Please read the guidance below carefully if you have booked in for a manicure or pedicure. Please note, however, that the advice is not a substitute for the advice of a medical professional, but merely assistance to help you our client to get the best from your treatment. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch or ask.

Manicure aftercare advice:

  • If not gel nails leave adequate amount of time for them to dry

  • Wear protective gloves when doing any gardening or house work etc to stop the nails from being damaged to the polish or to to the nail 

  • Use hand cream regularly to keep your hands feeling rejuvenated

  • Use a base coat under polish to prevent staining

  • Then to use a top coat to prevent the polish chipping

  • Do hand exercises to keep joints moving for joint mobility 

  • Avoid harsh soaps as they can dry or irritate your skin

  • Drink plenty of water to keep your skin and your body hydrated

Pedicure aftercare advice:

  • If not gel nails leave adequate amount of time for them to dry

  • Wear open toe shoes if possible (so you are less likely to smudge normal polish)

  • Change socks or tights daily to make sure your feet are keeping clean 

  • Apply foot lotion to feet after bathing to keep your feet moisturised 

  • Dry feet after washing especially in-between toes as if thetas are not dried properly it could get very irritated 

  • Apply talc or other drying products to dry the moisture from between the toes 

  • Massage cuticles with cuticle cream or cuticle oil to keep your cuticles soft
